Activities AssistantSitter & Barfoot Veterans Care Center is seeking an Activities Assistant. Qualified candidates will help carry out the objective of the facility as part of total resident care and ensuring the protection of residents during these activities. The Activities Assistant is responsible for assisting the Activities Director and Activities Coordinator in providing approved therapeutic recreation programs for our veteran residents, including Alzheimer/dementia residents.Job Duties:Coordinate all activities programs with other departmentsAssessing and documenting patients' abilities and participation in group activitiesMinimum Qualifications:Experience providing activities programming preferably in a long term care or adult geriatric setting.Must possess the physical ability to turn, bend and lift without restrictions.Ability to read, write and communicate ideas.Additional Considerations:Experience working in a long-term care or adult geriatric setting.Special Instructions:You will be provided a confirmation of receipt when your application and/or résumé is submitted successfully.
