Shipping Manager – Manufacturing

Salary up to $100,000 + Profit Sharing & Excellent Benefits + Paid Relocation

Key Responsibilities as the Shipping Manager:

• Manage the daily operations of shipping and ensure customer needs are met
• Coordinate the daily operations of a secondary location remotely
• Champion safety and compliance throughout the shipping operation
• Oversee inventory cycle counting and investigate significant variances
• Standardize processes to improve customer satisfaction, efficiency and warehouse utilization
• Train, direct and evaluate employees, manage schedules and address employee concerns within a collective bargaining agreement
• Partner closely with Production, Inside Sales and external business partners
• Build strong relationships through respectful, effective communication.

Minimum requirements for this Shipping Manager position:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics or related field preferred
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience
• Extensive experience with an ERP system
• Experience in a unionized work place
• Experience coordinating delivery schedules, multi-stop shipments and outside carriers
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong adaptability and customer-focused problem-solving skills.
